On the Run Sports History
On March 3rd, 2010, On the Run Sport celebrated its 7th year as a full time business as On the Run Sports Shop and Race Management Services in Warrenton Virginia! Over the last 7 years, O.T.R. Sports has strengthened its identity in the sports community of Fauquier county and surrounding areas. During this time, we have grown and taken on new shape, both for our devoted customers and ourselves. With this growth, our number one love still is, and will be the awesome sport of distance running! Coach Michael Stanislaw (ASEP.RRCA), saw the need to develop a distance running identity in the Fauquier county region of Northern Virginia. This is being done by the organization of races ranging from track and cross country, 5k and 10k's, and most respectably.... the fauquier half marathon. Coach Stanislaw also started the "grass roots" Fauquier running club (2000) that meets spring thru fall for group runs, and invites runners to the summer gold medal running camp. this has all helped to foster dedicated and quality runners (young and old alike) who succeed on many levels, including state and even national levels! Dr. Keith A. Morneau takes over as On the Run Sports Shop manager and avid distance runner. Dr. Morneau brings a love of running and fitness to his new role as owner and will continue growing and building the business in Fauquier County. Coach Mike will be a consultant to Dr Morneau and will continue doing race management and silk screening for our team customers.
There will some exciting changes taking place over the next year or so. We will strengthen our running presence but also serve the needs of soccer, swimming, wrestling, hockey, and other sports in Fauquier county.
